10cc : I Wanna Rule The World (0070)
La chance me sourit ! Dans une de mes excursions sur Dailymotion, je tape, sans grande conviction, le nom d’un de mes groupes cultes : 10cc, pour voir si par hasard, il y aurait une des quatre chansons que j’ai sélectionnées dans ma liste. Et là, divine surprise : entre quinze vidéos d’I’m Not In Love et douze de Dreadlock Holiday, je tombe sur la plus improbable et la plus drôle de toutes.
En ces temps de campagne électorale mégalomane, I Wanna Rule The World peut paraître d’un mauvais goût pachydermique ou d’une inquiétante pertinence, mais quoi qu’il arrive, ça fait toujours plaisir de se le remettre dans les oreilles. Je vous raconterai une autre fois l’histoire de ces Monty Python de la pop, auxquels j’ai consacré une chronique sur Pop-Rock. Pour l’heure, je préfère vous laisser savourer ce clip amateur : vous m’en direz des nouvelles !
